38^th Multiple Convention was held at ITA Centre, Guwahati from 23^rd April to 24^th April, 2011. Past International President Mahendra Amarasuriya graced the occasion as chief guest.

ID Endorsee from Nepal Sanjay Khetan was the guest of honour. More than one thousand delegates attended the convention.

MD 322 REGIONAL LIONS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

RLLI of MD 322 for the year 2011 was successfully held at Kaziranga from 11^th November to 14^th November. Fifty two participants from nine sub districts joined this Institute at a retreat resort amidst the greens of world famous Kaziranga National park known for its one horned Rhinos. Club Presidents, Zone chairpersons, Senior District leaders joined the Institute. This was 12^th RLLI of MD 322 and was inaugurated on the unique date of the century ie 11.11.11. Host District 322 D supported in arranging infrastructure for the Institute.

Classes apart ,each element of RLLI was aimed at leadership development right from arrival to departure. Under constant supervision and vigil of Six faculties and two group Coordinators, the Institute classes were from 9.00AM to 6.00 PM with breaks for lunch and tea. The breakfast table was laid at 7.45 AM sharp and closed at 8.45 AM. Participants joined one of the five mentor groups at the breakfast table for sharing experiences and general guidance of mentor. Wide range of Lions and self development subjects were covered. While GLT, GMT, LCIF, Service projects, Fund raising, using technologies like webinars and Lions learning center, Public Relation, and Power of our Organization were the Lions subject, Diversity, Change management, communication skill, meeting management and team building were self development subjects.

Work hard and play hard. After strenuous mornings, evenings were filled with Karaoke songs, local heritage dances bihu and Jhumur and talent show by participants. On the 14^th November , Participants celebrated the birth day of Past International Director Bishnu Bajoria with a karaoke song.

And what did they learn? A quote from participant evaluation form - ‘Punctuality, Discipline, Time management, entertainment.”
